The province of Manitoba agreed to extend a ban on logging, roadbuilding and other development in the Poplar-Nanowin rivers protected area, a 2.2 million acre-expanse within our Heart of the Boreal BioGem. Leading up to the decision, BioGems Defenders sent the government 22,000 messages supporting the ban.
